Pam Gazu (Pamstrings) was born on 30 December 1986 in Jos, the last of five children (he has two brothers and two sisters). At 9, he began playing the piano and at 14 began learning guitar. He attended TCNN High School in Jos. At 15, he started songwriting and while at TCNN College entered a singing competition and won.
